Cover RE-Reveal for Long Live the King

FINALLY!!  After lots of thought, and a ton of ridiculous waiting for Amazon to get their head out of their asses, I’m finally able to bring you the cover re-reveal for Long Live the King!!  Check this baby out!

15784778_1842992729278201_1195830220_o

Oh I just love it so much!!  I have to give big, huge, props to my designer, Robin, for being so incredibly, insanely talented.  All I have to do is show her a pic and mention my vision, and she brings the whole thing to life in no time at all.  It’s been a great 3 and a half years working with her, and I wouldn’t use another cover designer if my life depended on it.  Fuck it, kill me, but I’m using Robin!

longlivetheking_ecover

So I decided to redo the cover for LLTK after l took a look at the cover of Kingpin, and kept thinking about how much more I liked that cover over the LLTK cover.  Then I remembered how I did something I knew I didn’t want to do originally.  I always wanted the same model for the two covers, but I went against my gut, and that’s a no-no.  So, I took it back to where it needed to go, and this book now has the type of cover the story needs.

This series is soooooo good!  It’s the best thing I’ve published so far, and my favorite published book with my favorite published characters (notice I keep saying “published”? New awesomeness is on the way.  Solomon says Hi, by the way :)).  So to commemorate the release of the new cover, I’m putting both books in the series on sale for 99¢!  So head on over to Amazon, B&N, iBooks, or Kobo, and one-click Kingpin and Long Live the King right now!!  Dominic and Alananah’s story is amazing, and you can get it now on sale!!  Go one-click!

WS in 2017

Well, 2016 is coming to a close and it was a big year.  Tons and tons of books came out that did really well and grabbed a lot of peoples attention, and my book, Kingpin (An Italian Mafia Romance), was one of those big books of 2016. 13180926_1736689803241828_1586459477_n

I was so proud to see it do well and finally get me some attention that I’ve been hoping for for a long time. So I just want to say Thank You to all of my fans for making that book do as well as it did.

But now we are moving onto 2017, and I am excited just like people usually are at the end of the year when they get their New Year’s resolutions together. For me and my family, it’s going to be a big year for us anyway, because we are finally moving away from the island of Guam and officially going back to the United States!  We don’t know where in the states we’re going to live, but we do know that we are going back to the states, and that means book signings and being able to communicate on social media at a time that isn’t 2 o’clock in the morning for me and my wife!  This move is going to be great for us from a business standpoint, so now that we know that it’s official and we have no other option, I am excited about it and can’t wait to see how it positively affects what we’re doing in the book world. We have three book signings already locked in for 2017: Vegas in August, Phoenix in September, Manchester in November, which we are beyond excited about!  So we can’t wait to get out there and see our fans, and give autographs, and do meet & greets and just have a great time being published authors in this amazing indie community.

The books that I have planned to publish in 2017 are stories that I am so excited to write!  All of them are what I like to call Alpha Romantic Suspense, where it’s romantic suspense but the lead male character is an alpha bad ass who doesn’t take any shit and is ride or die for his woman like no other!  I learned a lot from the three books I published in 2016, and I plan on using everything that I learned this year to make every book that I publish next year my best books yet, starting with Madman (A Wilde King Novel).

2017 will be a big year for the #AuthorPowerCouple!  Writing and game-planning has already begun. 2017 is curtains up for me, personally. Enjoy the show!

Red Snow – Cover Reveal!

“I’m Jarrod Granger,

a confident, brash, smart ass who gets sh*t done.  If you don’t like me, fu*k you.

Your hate won’t stop me from fu*king the next girl, or solving the next case.  I’m untouchable.”

Red Snow (A Loose Cannon Novel) by WS Greer

redsnow_ebook_revealfile

Release Date: December 5th

Genre: Suspense/Romantic Suspense

redsnow_jacket_revealfile

Blurb:

My name is Detective Jarrod Granger, and you can say what you want about me. Call me arrogant, call me cocky, call me a man-whore, call me a renegade, call me an asshole, call me a loose cannon. But one thing you can never say about me is that I don’t get the job done.

I’ve dedicated my entire rocky, sex-fueled, tumultuous life to bringing down bad guys. I may not be able to keep a relationship, I may bounce from woman to woman like it’s some sort of competition, I may fu*k and drink like there’s no tomorrow, but if you’re a criminal and on my radar, you’re the one who’s fu*ked.

So when a woman is brutally murdered, decapitated, and put on display like a snowman in front of an elementary school, there’s no other choice on who can handle it.

This kind of case requires someone willing to break the rules, someone who’ll go the extra mile.  It requires someone cocky, someone confident.  A loose cannon.  Because only someone whose life is a boiling hot mess of sex, liquor, and violence will be willing to do what it takes to hunt this killer down.

Sometimes it takes a man straddling the line between sane and crazy to catch a psycho.

A message from WS Greer

“This book is everything to me.  After gaining some success and a good following with my last series, I didn’t know if I’d be able to top it, and I definitely didn’t think I’d be able to have a character who would trump all my others.  It all came together in Red Snow.  Jarrod Granger is me at my absolute best, and writing this story around him has been the most fun I’ve ever had during any writing process.  The cover, the blurb, the characters, EVERYTHING, it all came together better than anything I’ve ever done before, and I can’t wait for the world to get their hands on it.  December seriously can’t come fast enough!.

Jarrod is a fu*king storm about to come rain all over everything.  He’s hot, sexy, crude, smart as fu*k, and the ultimate bad ass.  His entire life is a sex-fueled roller-coaster ride of drama, and I love it!  I love him!  You like alpha males?  Jarrod Granger is here to kick your favorite alpha males ass.  He’s the ultimate loose cannon, and it’s a good thing I’m releasing this cover 2 months before the book goes live, because you’re gonna need time to prepare for Jarrod’s arrival.”

Well, that was fast…

Book writing is a tough business.  You spend months putting in work, pouring your life into a 70K+ word novel, becoming your characters, figuring out ways to bring them to life and get people to love them as much as you do, and it consumes you.  After all the writing is done, you spend so much time trying to figure out how to promote the story and the characters, and your life becomes edits and revisions and ARC’s and you put just as much effort into that as you did the writing phase.  You buildup and buildup getting ready for the release and doing all you can to hype it up and get people talking about, and the next thing you know, IT’S OVER.  The book comes out and one of two things happens…

One: your book is popular and you can feel it picking up in sales and promo and word of mouth, and you get butterflies all in your stomach from the love you see being bestowed on your work, and you get the urge to check USA Today to see if you made one of the big bestseller’s lists because that’s what happens when your book is selling, and you feel like you’re on top of the whole damn world!  You get anxious to track your numbers and dollar figures, and you happily accept those messages from people telling you how awesome you and your story are!  It can be the best feeling in the world!  What a rush it can be!

Or Two happens: your book comes out and sells decently in its first few days on the shelf, and then you watch in sadness as the numbers slowly fade away and your Amazon ranking goes the opposite way you were hoping it would.  You go out and beg bloggers to share that your book is live because based on the sales, it’s obvious the world doesn’t know your book is available for purchase because that’s the only thing that makes sense after all the work you did trying to let people know how awesome the book actually is.  After a little while, you accept that the book is not going to sell as well as you thought it would or as well as it deserves.  You take a deep breath, try not to cry, try not to get caught up in what the fuck happened, try not to ask yourself what you could have done better to get people to know about this book, and tell yourself it’ll be better next time.  You shake your head because you know this book is better than your last, and keep telling yourself that your time is coming, and you say, WELL, THAT WAS FAST.  It’s over and time to move on to the next book already.  Sometimes your work is a hit, sometimes you feel like shit and have to pick up the pieces and move on.  It doesn’t mean your book is crap, or that you didn’t work hard enough, or pay enough for ads, or contact enough blogs.  When you’re not one of the big names or one of the cool kids in a crew, sometimes your work just doesn’t get noticed.  It doesn’t mean that you sell out and go join a clique to ride somebody else’s coattails.  Fuck that.  You don’t quit.  You move on.  You work harder.  You just keep writing.  And it’s on to the next one.

You use the experience as motivation going forward, and you get yourself hyped up to write.  You pay attention to every book that gets so much hype and you try to learn what you can and make sure your next book is one that is not to be denied.  You get fired up, and you write your ass off.  You promote your newest releases of course, but you dive into your next story with everything you’ve got.  You strategize your cover and synopsis and figure out how to get them to work to your advantage, because you are so sick and tired of being forgotten about.  You give your life’s blood to the next book, and tell yourself they won’t be able to ignore this one.  They won’t be able to ignore any of the ones you’ve got coming up, because with every book release, with every book that goes unnoticed, you learn something and use it to make you better.  You get up, you dust yourself off, you wipe away the tears, and you grow.

Nothing worth keeping ever comes easily.  We’ve got nowhere to go but up, and that’s where we’re going.

Long Live the King is Live–And Here I/We Come!

First things first… My newest baby, Long Live the King (An Italian Mafia Romance Duet #2) is LIVE!!!!  The moment has finally arrived, and my book is on shelves everywhere on the I-net, waiting for you to download it and indulge!  This book was such a long time coming, and I’m so proud to see it completed and out there for the world to read.  It took a lot out of me, finishing this book, and that’s why I appreciate and love it so much!!

live

There isn’t anything that I can say about this book that I haven’t already said, so I’ll just post this here and hope that after months of promotion and trying to hype this up, you’ll believe me when I tell you that this book is the best thing I have ever written, and it will blow you away.  The rest is up to you.  This is an epic conclusion, and I hope you’ll take a chance on it for 99¢.

Now, on to the next part of this blog post–Here I/We Come!!

I’ve been doing this for three years now, and it has been an incredible journey, and I’m proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish in this short time with the 8 books I have on the shelf.  However, it’s time for more.  I’m ambitious, and I want to be great.  It’s really as simple as that.  I want more and more people to read my books and fall in love with these stories that I fall in love with when I think of them.  I want the world to love my characters just as much as I do.  So, here I/We come.

My wife, bestselling author Isabel Lucero, and I, have been being pretty quiet about ourselves since we started this.  We’ve sat back and watched as other books and other authors have blown up and gone on to be big deals.  We’ve watched other male authors come and go and form clicks to join forces and fans, and we’ve been in the shadows, biding our time, waiting for it to be our turn.  Well, waiting for it to be our turn has only gotten us so far, and it’s obvious that it won’t take us to where we want to go.  So, we’re about to be everywhere.  We’re about to be in you faces nonstop!  I’m totally not kidding.  Before this post, I’ve already done 3 live stream videos where I have given away books to anybody who PM’s me, and I’ve got another book group takeover first thing tomorrow morning.  We’re going to plaster our mugs all over the internet so that people can get to know us and tell other people about us.  We are a married couple who writes books!  Both of us are bestselling authors!  We have what nobody else does, and we haven’t shown ourselves to the world.  Well this is it.  Those days are OVER.  So, I plan on being everywhere all the damn time.  It’s gonna be me and my baby, forming our own little click, and taking over the world.  We are the new Joker and Harley Quinn.  The world is ours, and we want you to know who we are.  So, if after all this time, you still feel like you don’t know who I am or who she is, and you’re not sure about buying our books for whatever reason, you’re about to get to know us.

I’m the Joker, she’s my Harley Quinn, and we’re about to take over the world.  Ready or not.  Here we come!!

LLTK is Coming and So Are My Nerves

Today is Wednesday, LLtK goes live on Monday, and I’m nervous as crap!  So, here’s my issue; Kingpin (An Italian Mafia Romance Duet #1) did so well, I’m totally freaking out about meeting that expectation again.  Don’t get me wrong, I put in the work during the writing phase, and I’m certainly doing everything I can in the promotion phase right now, but it’s becoming so difficult to sell books and get people to read your work these days.  Dominic Collazo is the best character I have given the world yet, and he’s so awesome in this book, but having one good-selling book is tough, so doing it twice in a row is super hard.

I am not Colleen Hoover.  I don’t have a legion of fans who are ready to drop what their doing to one-click my book.  I’m not a part of a fraternity. Bloggers are not foaming at the mouth to rant and rave about WS Greer, so I have to dive into promo mode head-first and reach out and beg for my books to be talked about.  So, here is my pitch to all my fans out there who are ready and waiting for my next release… READ LLTK, AND THEN SCREAM FROM THE MOUNTAIN TOPS HOW MUCH YOU LOVE IT!!

I need you out there telling your friends about Dominic and putting them on about this book, because I worked so damn hard to get this book revised and finished.  I worked longer and harder on this book than any other book I’ve done, and it means so much to me that it does well.  Dominic is my first badass, and he is the beginning of so many more characters, and I want him to succeed.  He’s been through a lot, and he’s earned it.  The characters that will come after Dominic will only exist because he did, so I’m rooting for him to do well, and that doesn’t happen without your help.

So, the time has come, book world!  Long Live the King is just around the corner and ready to take you on a joy ride to an epic conclusion to this duet.  Buckle up, and get ready to tell your friends all about where Kingpin and Long Live the King took you!!  Here’s to Dominic Collazo!

“Fuhgeddaboutit.”

Pushing Book 1 to Sell Book 2

Ladies & gentlemen, we are finally under a month away from the release of Long Live the King!!  I’m in full promo mode and I am sooooo excited for this book to hit your kindle!!  I went through so much to bring this story and these characters to the perfect conclusion, and in less than thirty days, you’ll finally get to see how it all ends.

However, there are new nerves that come with this release.  While I’m beyond excited about dropping this book, there’s something that has me worried.  LLTK is a book 2, and that is cause for concern.  Historically, book 2 never sells like book 1.  Naturally, some of the people who read book 1 don’t bother to read book 2 because they don’t like the first one.  Also, blogs who didn’t read book 1 aren’t jumping through the roof to promote book 2.  Lastly, people are skeptical about sequels, especially if the first one was good.  So, I know LLTK has a tough road ahead, but the people who read it will be blown away, and hopefully that gets them talking.  I wrote this book to knock people’s socks off, and I expect nothing less.

But, in order for me to hype the world up about book 2, I need to remind them about book 1 (or introduce them to), Kingpin (An Italian Mafia Romance).

13180926_1736689803241828_1586459477_n

If you haven’t met Dominic Collazo, now is the time to do it.  Kingpin is on sale for only 99¢, and will stay on sale until mid-September when LLTK and Kingpin both go to full price.  So, now’s the time to dive into this insane world of La Cosa Nostra and get to know Dominic, Alannah, and their second-chance romance.  These two meet as 11 year-olds and spend time together before being pulled apart by life, only to be brought back together in the middle of a street war.  Alannah has a lot to deal with and a lot to learn about the grown-up edition of Dominic Collazo, and it’s gonna take everything she’s got to stay afloat.

Before I wrote LLTK, Kingpin was my favorite of all my books.  Bringing Dominic to life in Kingpin was so fun and he quickly became my favorite character.  So if you haven’t read Kingpin, it’s about that time!  Go one-click Kingpin right this second, because it’s gonna cost you less than a dollar!  And if you already have read Kingpin, now’s the time to read it again and remind yourself of how insanely badass Dominic is, because he’s about to come back and take your world on a roller coaster ride.  He’s about to remind you all why book 1 was so big, and why you fell in love with him in the first place.  So Kingpin is here to serve as a reminder before Long Live the King explodes onto the scene.

Go one-click Kingpin now for only 99¢, and brace yourself, because the epic conclusion, Long Live the King, is coming September 5th.

Buckle up!

Until Next Week..
